Rose of Clare Festival, Cooraclare and Cree

The Rose of Clare festival is now in existence since 1979. The Festival is designed to cater for all age groups and is a “Fun” week. While there are many social and sporting events through the week, the Highlight of the Festival is the selection of the 'Rose of Clare'.The announcement of the winning Rose will take place on the final night.

Doonbeg Currach Regatta
1st August
Races will consist of 3 Hand, Fear & Bean, U18, Naomhóg and Parish. Bouncing castle and refreshments will be provided on site.

Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2016

The greatest Traditional Irish Music Festival in the world returns to Ennis for the first time since 1977.
Ennis Town has been announced as the host venue for the Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann in 2016.
It is anticipated that Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann will attract an estimated 300,000 visitors to the Clare County Capital next year.

Carrigaholt Family Festival

Events such as Sheaf Throwing, Tug a War and nail driving competition make for great viewing and family events such as the Car Treasure Hunt, the Water Fun Run and Sand Castle building competition mean there is something for the whole family.

Nell Galvin Music Festival Moyasta
26th - 28th August
A weekend of traditional music and dance. Come and join in the music and dancing lessons, enjoy the craic on the banks on the Shannon. While in Moyasta visit the well known West Clare Railway.
