The Burren in Bloom Festival features a series of illustrated talks and organised walks throughout the month of May in the Burren. The festival gives people an understanding and appreciation of the Burren and its formation, and how it continues to be a source of
great botanical, archaeological, and cultural wealth with its unique wild flowers and ancient sites.
Father Ted Festival
28th April - 1st May
A festival of all things Father Ted, there will be location tours, a visit to the Parochial House, Lovely Girls contest, Golden Cleric awards, and loads of craic and musical entertainment.
Darkness into Light Ennis, Darkness into Light Kilrush, Darkness into Light Miltown Malbay, Darkness into Light Killaloe/Ballina
6th May (Friday night/Saturday morning)
Darkness into Light is a symbolic run/walk starting in darkness and ending as the dawn is rising symbolising hope.
The event starts at 4.15am at a location in each town (Friday night/Saturday morning).
This is a flagship fundraising event for Pieta House which is a centre for the prevention of suicide and self harm.

12th - 14th May
Burren Slow Food Festival showcases the very best of Burren local artisan producers, members of the Burren Food Trail, Burren Geopark in a Farmers Market, through talks and cookery demonstrations by local and national Celebrity Chefs.
